  1. I don't know what Roscoe was talking about.

    Sometimes, I feel like I'm reading a half-solved cryptoquote.

oh.. the end of the last chat thread.

  5. I am not dead.

Storms fucked our shit up down here. No power since Friday. They hooked a generator up to one of the dorms which has a cafeteria so that they could provide food / internet for students.

The guess is that we'll have power by Tuesday at the soonest / thursday at the latest. I am tempted to go on a magical mystery trek to Indy so that I can take a warm shower. Cold showers suck balls.

  6. Pokemon Gold and Silver remakes ahoy.

Scary part is that they're to celebrate their 10th anniversary.

  7. Oh mans. Pokemon remakes are awesome.

They're closing the building which has internets. :(

Now I have to go back to my apartment without internets or power. This is teh lames.

  8. Boo power outages.

  9. By the power of grayskull I have power once again. And the people on that side of the road do not have power.

I foresee an inevitable clash of the powered v. the poweless.

I am comfortable with my odds of success.

The brown people who live behind me have already come over to ask if they could use my power to cook rice. I graciously allowed them access to my plugs on the condition that they give me 35% of this year's harvest.

I am a benevolent feudal lord.

On the off chance that their women need to use my hot water to bathe their selves? I will grand their request. On the condition that they...talk to me...

    I'm SO ALONE!

  11. Quoted review on Star Trek TV spot calls it "this year's Iron Man", and I feel that this is essentially a correct statement.

  12. Iron man was better then dark knight.
peggle is now out for the iphone/touch

  13. As an unrelated aside: In listening to Mutter, the third of the Three Good Rammstein Albums Worth Listening To™, the first song is Mein Herz Brennt, and that reminds me of the Hellboy 2 trailer (it used this song), and then how awful Hellboy 2 actually was.

It's like listening to Rosenrot over and over again.

  14. You didn't like Hellboy 2?

    I quite thoroughly enjoyed it..

Not so much Jeffery Tambor in it, sadly.. but the film was decent enough.

  15. I think what we need to do is play out that Hellboy argument again.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I stand by my opinion that hellboy 2 was a good film minus that motherless mongrel that played Lil' hellboy at the beginning. He sucked.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I think this calls for a Hellboy night.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I think it calls for 40s and dueling Nerf swords.

I call Kyle as my second.

  19. J, do you have my copy of "Unbearable Lightness"?

I ask because.. well.. Kundera wrote a back-blurb for my Icelander Saga text, and.. also becuase now I want to make other fuckers read it.

  20. i did not like hell boy 2 as much as i liked hell boy 1

however, hellboy 2 had the FANTASIC market scene. all of those characters with REAL puppets, not bullshit CG

thats enough to make a mostly shitty movie a mostly OK movie in my book

  21. Holy crap Factor 5 is dead.Rogue Squadron was pretty rad. I kind of feel bad about not buying any more of their games in the ten or so years since it came out.

  22. J, do you have my copy of "Unbearable Lightness"?

    Yes.

    ReplyDelete
  23. That is sad. They were supposed to make the Pilot Wings sequel. I was somewhat excited by that.

    ReplyDelete
  24. So did Factor 5 just make Star Wars games?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Son of the Mask is on Cartoon Network. I wonder if Baby Geniuses is a worse movie than this. It could be.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Factor 5 made other things too.

    Like Lair.

    Ahahahahahahahahahahahahah...

    ReplyDelete
  27. I always assume Baby Geniuses is the terrible sequel to Real Genius.

  28. J has been assessed an over-due fee by the private library of J's books for his neglecting the process of book renewal in regard to a certain copy of Milan Kundera's "The Unbearable Lightness of Being."

  29. I thought Young Einstein was the horrible sequel to Real Genius.

One thing we can all agree on: these are all great movies.

  30. Also, if you don't own a Sega CD, Saturn, PlayStation, or GBA, but DO own a PSP, then you will finally get to play Lunar sometime this year or next.

    Unless you dream you can't.
