New Website

So I've been working on a new website for a few weeks, and I finally got the design and the basic content down. There are a few bugs, but I am going to have to find someone who is good with CCS to help me figure them out.

This afternoon i pulled the trigger and bought myself a domain name. The Website is www.nifftystuff.com. For right now it seems that the 'www' is necessary for the website to work. I think the DNS server / hosting just have not gotten synced up.

The reason for this post is two fold. First, the more incoming links the better, and this blog has good karama with google. second if anyone could spell check and that sort of thing. And anyone using IE, if there is any issues let me know. I have no way to check the design in IE and Jay found a bug last week, which has been fixed. so yeah - let me know.

thanks.

ps: for what its worth, the website was design and hosted by SquareSpace It is a really great web-based tool, and it makes standard compliant CCS pages. I think if we will want to do a redesign of EoiaS this might be the way to go. It seems that one can hook blog posts into message-board threads

I would consider using Bold or some other formatting instead or in addition to italics to differentiate headings from items and clarify the situation visually.

That's all that I noticed. What sorts of things do you plan to write in the blog section?

  3. Yeah, it uses Cascading Style Sheets.

But it's one of those wonky "you're using a template we've provided so here are 75% of the fields you would like to change. Go do it."

  4. It really is all about trying to deal with the wonky template. It looks OK, and i do not know if anyone notices other then people i point the problem out too.

If i cannot find someone here in BG who is really good with CSS, i am just going to email squarespace and see what is what.

Thanks for the corrections caleb, as for what is going to go in the blog section? I don't know yet. I just added it last night while i was waiting for the DNS server to update and messing with the software.

Also it still does not work without the www. Is there anything i have to do on GoDaddy's end to make that work? or is this something that happens within domain masking?
