Beef Roast New Potatoes Carrots Water Chestnuts Cloves of Garlic Baby Portobello Mushrooms
All cooked within a beef broth seasoned with pepper, garlic, and crushed red peppers. Cooked on low for 9 hours now.
Oh my, FLAVOR!
The mushrooms completely absorbed the flavors of the broth. The water chestnuts merrily crunch as one bites into them. The carrots and potatoes retain their firmness while still yielding to teeth. The garlic cloves are falling apart; they literally melt in one’s mouth. And the beef? The beef is falling apart. This is due, one assumes, to the sheer mass of flavor encased within it. It is too flavorful to cohere.

in other video game news, i am going to skip Fallout 3 (at least until the price drops) and go straight to mirrors edge. that is, if i can get PhD apps mostly done today/tomarrow.
Rockbands new DLC this week is the Foo Fighter’s The Colour and the Shape album.
I think pending a few more days of actually playing the game (i only have about 4 or 5 hours of play time in so far) I will write a review up, of what I think at this point.
nah, but my 360 did, so I had no problem there. You can buy a version of endwar for the 360 that comes with a blue tooth headset for, i think, $20 more.
I finally got around to playing ninja town last night, as teenie took hold of the TV to play World Tour.
It was quite enjoyable, it mostly reminded me of Fort Condor minigame in FFVII in that you place units to deter the oncoming hordes. I'm about 7 scenarios in and enjoying it pretty thoroughly.
I thought it was interesting that people were waiting in lines and struggling to get the expansion when Burning Crusade came out, all the while Teenie and I went into Meijer at like 12:30 and just picked up a box each and left, no line, no worries. :)
A friend had his wisdom teeth out today so I went over this morning and sat in his living room playing WoW while he played WoW to ensure that if he fell over and died someone would be there to loot his place.
It was fun.
Except I took Firefly over and he didn't seem to enjoy it very much.
