    It's weird.

    Stupid Graduation.

  7. Let me explain how "labels" work.

"lables" are a means by which articles can be categorized so that if one desires to see articles on a certain topic they may easily browse them. For example, rants have the "rant" label, so that users can easily find all rants. Posts about "video games" have the "video game" label, so that users who desire to find a video game article can just list all of the articles with "video game" as their label.

If you make a new god damned label for every fucking post the label system ceased to function as a means of identification.

  8. Also, this made me lol:

"Sept. 10: Ranked as "Countdown's" top newsmaker of the day, Bill O'Reilly celebrates his 58th birthday. For a present, "Countdown" beat him in the ratings Friday night: viewers 25 to 54; 365,000 to 324,000."

  12. So instead of releasing obscure needless games on their own cartridges they just provide them as downloadeable content on Xbox live?

    Wonderful.

Now they just need to shove Odama on there.

  14. Hey, what'd I miss?

Treasure is announcing a game soon...today? Oh, it's Bangai-O for the DS. That's...I accept that as good news.

Dammit, Jay, the only reason you don't like shmups is because they don't have stats or cards. In fact, you don't like anything that doesn't have stats or cards. Why, I remember one time I couldn't get you to eat ice cream until I put a picture of a big bowl of rocky road on a card and said it was +10.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I base all of my preferences on their stats and cards.

For example, +10 Rock Road is good, but Brussel Sprouts of +32 alacrity are better.

  16. I had to move a bunch of crap in my room at home this last summer, and I came across some fairly old stuff (e.g. health notes from 7th grade, big stack of Zoobooks). But the thing I was most happy/disgusted to see was...the boxes. If you took Latin with Renata, you know what I'm talking about, if not, it's a box with all manner of Latin's inflectional suffixes which somehow became a thing of legendary evil and woe. It yet lives!

Also I found a copy of the Oresteian Trilogy, which I think I may have checked out from Renata's stores and ended up keeping. It's a good thing I did, because I needed to read it this week, and I would have had to read it off the intertrucks if not for this elderly hard copy. If you've never read the Oresteian Trilogy, by the way, you should. It's pretty great, and you can finish it in an afternoon. My copy has 181 lightly filled pages.

  17. When I went through my closet last weekend I found that I still have my notes from Mr. Rhodes' class. It was amazing to see that at one time I could do math.

    Also, the Oresteia?

    AGAMEMNON!!!!!!

  18. I kept changing that Jessica Rowley post because her cute is overwhelming. I mean she's a Catholic married to a protestant, and she doesn't recognizes papal infallibility, AND she's a female priest.

    But...so cute.

  21. THE BOXES!!!!

goddamn.. Greek's going to kick my ass.

    I need Greek Boxes.

man.. Between the Rise of the XBox shumppery, Bangai-O Spirits, and such, and the new X-box live semi-shmup gaming like Every Extend Extra or Geometry Wars, Space Giraffe? It's like a golden age that I'm being denied.

  23. The note on my desk this morning:

    Jay-
    See me about Trowels.
    Jeff

Trowels was doubly underlined to note its importance.

My ability to feign concern over this shit is almost gone.

    ReplyDelete
  24. 1) Trowels are of PRIME importance to Dead Serious.

    2) We are in deliberations between Kevin and the guys who own the 360 and Wii. There is talk of Wireless coming to all the dorms.. so we might be holding off for that.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Young House is not a dorm.

I say you make a deal with Stormer. He opens a port in Young House so you can use the Wii and the Xbox and if you guys abuse it then he gets the Wii and Xbox.

    ReplyDelete
  26. It's all housing. Stormer actually thought that we might be at the top of the priority list, simply becuase we'd be easier to install and get going.

Deal still sounds fine and he's willing to.. We just need to get him the MAC addresses. Issue is swapping a cable and using one of the ports downstairs, or getting a router/wireless solution. Wii is allready wireless, 360 is not yet, but can be made so.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I am intrigued by the suspense... what was the deal with the trowels? Was the trowel department planning a mutiny?

    ReplyDelete
  28. yes. I need to know how this trowel situation is resolved.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Yesterday I asked if I could use the information from the catalog Trowel Page on the Trowel Page for the coatings section on the website. I was told that I could. But this morning someone remembered that the Trowel page in the catalog was incomplete and did not fully express and communicate our trowel line.

This would lead to chaos, chaos for Coatings Division customers. Because had I not corrected the page, had I not remedied that first mistake, the Trowel page in Coatings would have been missing two trowels. It would only have contained our Heavy-Duty Cove Trowels and not our Regular-Duty Cove Trowels.

    ReplyDelete
  30. That would be utter chaos, as a man hoping to buy simple regular trowel, would be forced to buy instead a HEAVY-DUTY trowel.

No simple man can control the power contained in a HEAVY-DUTY trowel. As a result while trying to dig a hole for his garden, he would by fault of his own ignorance, dig a dimensional hole to HELL!

    ReplyDelete
  31. And you can't plant begonias in an dimensional hole to Hell.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Petunias are much more well suited for a hell hole.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I agree.

I was going to go to the pet store tonight, but apparently there is a parade. And that may prevent me from getting to the pet store.

I paradist may have to die. That's the only option.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I, Paradist seems like a title for a spoof.

    ReplyDelete
  35. "I paradist may have to die. That's the only option."

    I meant to type

"The Parade may have to die."

But apparently I consider myself to be "paradist" and want to kill myself.

    which is only half true.
