    I thought that Jon Stewart was going to host the Emmys this year. But then I tuned in to see Ryan Seacrest hosting. I was not happy.

    I did get to see Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert present, and it made me lol.

    Also, I might not have guessed that "professional" cosplay/LARP could still manage to be as uncomfortable as the regular kind.

    I guess acting and larping are different enough, now that I think about it. Acting is certainly playing a role, and it is live action, but it's missing the "game" aspect that isn't explicit in LARPing, but I assume is present. I called that clip cosplay/LARP for some pretty superficial reasons.

    1) He's acting as a character from fantasy.
    2) He's not very good at it.

    Bad acting in the name of fantasy probably shouldn't automatically be called cosplay or LARP, but the two do go together well. I hesitate to grant that acting and LARPing are the same thing, however, because it sounds like the same logic that calls all video games RPGs because you are always playing some sort of role in a game.

    If it was Viggo why did they cover his head? The facial hair / hood, to me, signaled that it was a look alike because they put effort into hiding his face.

    And LARP should be LARPG. Cause it's Live Action Role Playing Game.

    There ought to be a day on which people are required to speak only in lines from television shows. And I would only say, "Lucy! You got some splainin to do!" and then the person would reply by saying, "WAAAAAAH!" and we would laugh.

    Then I would say, "You want to go get a mint?" at which point we would obtain a mint and consume it. After this I would say, "That was a good mint!"

    Last night I learned a valuable lesson about including comments in program code as I looked over something I wrote about six months ago and realized that I don't know how half of the stuff works.

    Next I think I'll learn a valuable lesson about making an outline before writing a paper, or maybe storyboarding before starting to film a movie, or some other crap that doesn't seem like a good idea at the time.
