At first I thought maybe they were doing a 12" GI*JOE or throwback to other such toy but then I clicked the link and yeah those are pretty unpleasant to look at or own.
At almost 40 bucks a pop, they should be to scale, The features should be close if not spot on. All the work the animators do for this show, its too bad the toy maker dident apply more attention to detail.
the faces are a solid C-
ReplyDeletethe bodies clearly an F
they could not even get the scale to match.
epic fail for the design team.

ReplyDeleteMy guess is that these are supposed to be a throwback to some sort of toy design from antiquity, given what Venture Brothers is supposed to be.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I do not buy toys based upon that sort of thing.

ReplyDelete... They look like modified Mego throwbacks.
ReplyDeleteWhich.. kinda makes sense for the antiquity thing J mentions..
But.. they're an odd hybrid, trying to get a Mego feel, keep the animation style intact, and be.. posable..
shame... Though.. I bet they'd make GREAT YouTube Mego commercial parodies.
