Olbermann: The Final Countdown [chat]

Since August 30, 2006, Keith Olbermann presented 63 Special Comments within each of which he articulated a point seemingly unutterable by any voice but his own. Last Friday was the final Countdown, the final opportunity for Keith Olbermann to say what no other media personality would or could. Having lost Keith Olbermann, we have lost a critical voice in our media, our conversation, our democracy. And so, this week’s [chat] is a reposting of that first Special Comment, that first moment when Keith spoke truth to power.

That, about which Mr. Rumsfeld is confused is simply this: This is a Democracy. Still. Sometimes just barely.

And, as such, all voices count -- not just his.

Until, of course, NBC is purchased by Kabletown. For then, all but the Becks, Limbaughs, and O'Reilly's of the world are silenced.
