Let me the first to ask. Why does this matter? Where in the Constitution does it say the VP must not be dead, let alone, undead.. That's right... nowhere.
that is a complicated question. While the constitution says nothing undead holding high office, it does forbid the dead to be president.
The Supreme Court refused to rule of this issue in 1980 when Ronny Reagan was elected as our first zombie president. the issue moved around the appease process for 3 years until Reagan's infamous Great May Purge. After eating the brains of many key judges no one seemed willing to take the issue back up.
