HowTo: Clear Google Search History

Google is enacting a new privacy policy on March 1st. Prior to that date, it would behoove you to clear your Google Search history. Here is a handy guide for how to remove the smut from your google account!

1. Sign into your Google account.
2. Go to https://www.google.com/history
3. Click "remove all Web History."
4. Click "ok."

After you've cleared your history, then, in the future, for the love of god be sure to log out of Google before searching for your lolicon.

April 22nd again. Another year gone by since the 6,000, or so, that have grudgingly passed since the delivery of water to water, the split of airy matter from earthy matter, the fair pronouncement of "Good" after a momentary assessment of a whole day's effort. And, gosh, do I ever agree with that assessment.

Sure, we've had our epochal deluges, sky-blotting volcanoes, genocidal tsunamis, incinerator-like wildfires, famine-inducing droughts, earthquake caused people-eating crevices, and lake bed CO2 pockets that rise to suffocate valley side villages, but here the Earth stands, still pulling its perfect sphere of a moon in perfect circles around our lovely--beautiful--blue planet. And, what more could we mortals ask for?

There's never going to be a day in my life when I won't at some point take the earth for granted, but, by gum, if there were to be a day, maybe some day, that I might not forget my place as a creature born from the dust of this earth, I think that day might also be the very day when I truly find that I have too often in my past spent too long assuming that my time to end is too far off to be of relevance to the current moment and that I, too far removed from the consequences of my actions on this here earth itself, have seen it, without sight, coming to the close of its period of hospitality to us all.

And, so, today I want to wish this earth a merry good one, and exhort my fellow co-inhabitants also to some merry earthward recognition.

200 Rant Spectacular!

I've been waiting for this day for quite a while and it's finally here. My friends, Everyone Is A Sith has finally reached the 200 rant Benchmark! That's right, our stupid little blog now contains 200 magnificent rants.

While the majority of our site traffic comes from the Hellgate London: Online Skill Tree post (14.3% of our site views) and the Miley Cyrus Tentacle Porn Writes Itself post (19.21% of our site views) I've long harbored the delusion that there are some who visit our stupid little blog for the rants.

The whole idea behind You Are Dumb Dot Net is that stupid people ruin shit for smart people. They irritate us, they annoy us, and they hold us back as a society. The more power stupid people have, the farther we get from Utopia. There are a number of weapons we have against the chronically thick. We can try to reason with them, we can try to educate them, we can try to bring them into the debate. Or, we can call them names and laugh at them. I'll leave those first three weapons to kinder, more patient people. Here at YAD, we traffic almost entirely in mockery and abuse.

Is it constructive? No. Is it elevating the discourse? No. Do I care? No. I'm not here to change lives, make a difference, or save the world. I'm here to laugh at stupid people, from the tap-dancing moron who leads the ostensibly free world all the way down to lowly New Jersey cops caught fucking cows. Which actually just happened, by the way.
