Turns out that, despite everything in West Wing being 100% accurate, raising the Debt Ceiling isn't that big of a deal...or it is. I'm still not sure. But raising the [chat] ceiling? That's something we have to do every week, lest the blog tumble into obscurity.

Oh hey, Pokemon.
That 3DS update finally fucking came a couple days ago (late May my ASS) and it brought a free copy of Excite Bike (let me just throw that on the stack of free copies of Excite Bike Nintendo has found ways to deliver) but oh wait, this copy is in THREE DIMENSIONS.
Which sounds dismissive, but is actually kind of neat. You ratchet up the slider and the NES graphics suddenly expand out and you can see more of the arena where you are crashing on dirt hills.
Also, and much more importantly, the new Pokedex deal is shockingly rad. You get nice 3D models of Pokemans from the new game, with a little animation that colors in their character a bit, plus it shows you all the moves they can learn and you click on a move...and it shows you all the pokemon who can learn that move.
And then there is some augmented reality stuff where you put a little QR code on something and now a Squirtle is on it or some shit and it all comes together into a bit of software that is just astoundingly nifty for the fact that it is just there and for free.
Plus, you can now get e3 trailers in 3D, which at least shows you what to expect from Ocarina of Time and Star Fox in case you were thinking that might not be so wonderful in 3D and wanted to be proven right.

Some people in my WoW guild started playing the Pokeymans. They frequent 4chan and so stumbled upon The Nuzlocke Challenge.
I'd try it, except it'd be one of those situations where I posit additional rules onto a game, and then start to question why i'm following rules that only I enforce, and then end up breaking the rules.
Also, the fuckers in my guild actually took the time to EV Train their non-Nuzlocke pokeymans. So, I kind of hate them.
EV training is why I stopped playing pokemon the last...two times...I think. Yeah, Diamond and SoulSilver. It was too much work for me to do, but these asshats did it and had fun.

@MA17: Are the QR codes for the augment reality free, or printable from the interwebs?
I still haven't purchased a 3DS. I'm really hoping that Diablo 3 is out before either Pokemon or Animal Crossing for the 3DS. Because I can't afford all of those, and I don't want to blow my Diablo 3 budget on 3DS shit.
But just imagine watering flowers, digging up fossils, fishing, and paying off Tom Nook in 3D!
