Yes, and Jon Stewart made that exact point many times during hte interview. (I only watched what comedy central aired, I am under the impression the interwebs have more). I felt so bad for Jim Cramer during the interview, Stewart came ready and just slapped Jim Cramer around like a little bitch. I don't think Jim Cramer expected a "comedian" to come so prepared for this fight.
Cramer totally expected that. Here's the thing about Jim - he's got a blustery act for the show.. but after that, he's a tiny, somewhat cringing personality. Eager to please in some sense.
He may not have realized his old clips where he advocated short selling fraud would be coming back, but he knew what he was in for from the opening. It's why he called Stewart his idol on Martha.
As for the whipping boy / larger problem? Cramer helped turn himself into the FACE of that problem, in part by taking up the slack after the Santelli thing.
There is no single PERSON Jon should be yelling at, so much as a pair of industries. In a very real sense he's vocally furious about the Gaming Journalism problem writ with actual consequences - niche journalists becoming beholden to their subjects for stories.
But Cramer has become CNBC for a lot of people, and he's very much the face point for the things about the network Jon's talking about.
The full interview is 21 minutes. I've yet to see the Daily Show interview because I just woke up and it wasn't posted before 5 a.m. when I went to bed.
A few people on the interwebs have talked about how awkward the interview is. And I have to tell you that if we want to talk "awkward" Daily Show interviews? I think this one wins.
I like how they edited the aired interview to indicate that there is more content available online. As far as I can remember that's the first time they've ever done that.
When they interviewed the liberal fascism guy I think they put clips together but they did not communicate that the full interview was available online.

What I do not like about this interview? Jim Cramer became a whipping boy for a much larger problem.
The person Jon Stewart needs to be yelling at is not Jim Cramer.

"I'm a guy trying to do an entertainment show about business for people to watch."
Yes. That's Jim Cramer. He's not the bad guy.
