It's nice to live in a country where we don't begrudge or think ill of persons simply because they were members of the Ku Klux Klan.

While there will not be a special election to replace him, the Council of Old Guys that look like Emperor Palpatine (COGEP) will soon be getting together to determine who new KK
.. I can't tell if J's being sincere or tongue in cheek...
and if the latter, if it's a comment on his having been a member, or on how immediately Byrd is brought up by dogwhistling conservatives whenever civil rights are discussed...
As of late he has tended to vote for civil rights issues.
Including being for the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell.
