Also, I watched Richie Rich this weekend because, what, I'm NOT going to watch a Macaulay Culkin movie?
Anyway, at one point they show a TV on while the villain is on the phone and on the TV is the scene from North by Northwest where Cary Grant is running from the airplane that's trying to kill him in the field. The villain's talking about rubbing someone out so, you know, it kind of reinforces that.
Then, after what seems like hours and hours, the movie winds up with a showdown on the Rich-family version of Mt. Rushmore (as in NbyNW, you know). Given that most pop-culture references are designed to pick up a cheap laugh, I'm not convinced there are many people with the balls to let something like this take so long to pay off, especially in the same movie where at one point a bunch of kids launch a bag of shit at a bumbling, twinkie-eating guard.
So, kudos.

I do not live alone and barely know the Olympics are taking place. For that I would thank my DVR every day, were it the case that I knew I should be thankful.
