I would like to know how I managed to not get sick during either fall or winter but spring starts, the temperature shoots up to the low to mid 60s, and I feel like I am going to die.
It is pleasant, sunny, and warm outside. Well, fuck, better get sick!
sarah and i went to best buy this afternoon to get the new Toy Story BRDs. Not a big deal but
1) we had target's sales flyer - the BB clerk misread it, and gave us 50% off the $60 instead of $10 off $60.
2) they had a 3D TV set up. It sucked. there was a very noticeable shudder in the image. even though the movie was in 3D it felt flat. we saw Monsters vs Aliens in the theater, so i know what the 3D is should look like. on the 3DTV it looks like there was 3 or 4 levels depth, instead of one continues flow in depth. finally, the glasses were very heavy and awkward.
@kyle Toy Story 1/2 DVDs have been out of print for a long time. they were 15$ each. i have not spent more that $20 on a BRD in the 9 month we have had a PS3
@ros i thought the kotaku post said they you did not have to have any special glassess

it took you three tries to come up with THIS? Worst. [chat]. evar.
I approve someone chastising the initial statement, like a New Jersey housewife.
I was uninspired last night. And another healthcare [chat] seemed stupid.
Note to self-
refrain from reading facebook status updates for a week.

My current understanding is that 3D tvs are a real pain in the ass to calibrate..
but apperently it'll be easier for the 3DS? something about knowing a bit more acurately where the audience/player's head/eyesight will be?
Catholics...in 3D!
there is not really any "calibrating." you have the sync the glasses so they shudder at the same time as the TV.
from what i can tell, the 3DS is not really 3D. as you shift the ds back and forth the prospective of the screen shifts.
I want to know why you were willing to pay $50 for Toy Story but will not pay $40 for Diablo II.
You've changed, man.
Ugh, for Blurays no less. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you could have bought the DVD versions for half the price.
I've heard both motion tracking w/ the camera, and Phillips glasses free 3D.. so.. I dunno. could well be talking out of my ass.
