Fuck Virginia Tech

The Virginia Tech Shooting happened a Year Ago. And CNN thinks that it is important to tell us about how tragic it was.

Well you know what. Fuck them and fuck there tragedy. The VT shootings came during one of the worst weeks of fighting in Iraq last year, and suddenly it was more important to talk about another school shooting, carried about by mentally ill kid who had been picked on by fuckhole bullies.

And it is shit like this causes dumbfucks to think that caring guns to class is going to stop shitheads from shooting up schools. Inasmuch as we are all pussies for nothing fighting back.

So.

How many Virginia Tech Students does it take to screw in a Light Bulb?
What is yellow and goes pop?

I could really do without news organizations posting pictures of students crying on their homepages.

And what the fuck to candles have to do with anything? Why are people lighting candles?

I agree that a 1 year ceremony is somewhat a strange idea. But as a student at Virginia Tech who lost someone very close, I must say that your post is very inconsiderate.

We didn't ask for press coverage. In fact, most of us are annoyed by it and refuse to acknowledge the media's presence. In addition, I would venture to say that most of us never said "fuck the families that lost someone in Iraq," but you've got me saying it now. According to your arguments and complaints, your post should read, Fuck CNN and the news media that determines what America hears.

"I don't know, How many are left?"
"That is quality."

You're an outrageous asshole.

If you posted this on any other day of the year, I wouldn't give my opinion. But you had to post it on the 1 year anniversary?

I'll agree that the hatred ought to be directed at the coverage and news outlets rather than the students/faculty/staff themselves.

"But you had to post it on the 1 year anniversary?"

Timing is everything, friend.

Certainly the loss of a close friend to a senseless act of needless murder would leave a lasting impression on the life of said individual. But I would think that any academic institution worth its tuition would have instilled at least some degree of Stoicism in its students to the point that a year after the fact they are not necessarily inconsolably dispirited when they read something mean a faceless ass posted on a blog. There is a statute of limitations to these sorts of things.

And while you are not necessarily saddened but may rather be a bit peeved I happen to belong to the school of thought which says that a year after the fact people can freely say mean things if they so choose and any grievance we wish to launch upon them must find its base in something other than the temporal.
