Mythos: Diablo 3?
Is it? Could it be?
It's pretty god damned close by my estimate.
And that's saying something.

That is a red and a blue orb away from being exactly Diablo.
AWESOME!
It's hella awesome.
There are more videos on YouTube for interested parties.
Is it made by the same people, and is the story lined up to fit with the others?
Mythos is being developed by Flagship Studios, which is the company who developed HellGate London. Flagship Studios contains people who worked for Blizzard in the past and, I believe, were in some ways related to the Diablo franchise. But I'm not sure about that part. I do know that they came from Blizzard but I don't know what department.
Mythos is not set in the Diablo storyline; there will be no Deckard Cain. But the gameplay seems to be similar enough to label it a spiritual successor to Diablo II and for all practical purposes our Diablo III.
At least until such a time as Blizzard can get off their lazy asses and create a realy Diablo III.
have they mentioned anything about multiplayer? because that in the end is what truly made diablo II..

My understanding is the game is an MMO.
"there will be no Deckard Cain"
I heard he was murdered by the wizard scribes who create the Scrolls of Identify for undermining their business.
One cannot murder Deckard Cain.
One can, however, put him in a cage and hang it a few feet above the ground.
He won't die but he is very easy to trap.
This is all bull. Deckard Cain was a visionary in the post-apocalyptic hip-hop world, bringing it to you raw.
I fully expect Tha Deck to put out another five albums posthumously.
horodrim, ho ho horodrim
HEE! DEE-lightful... who made that? Was it the actual guy who voiced him? It doesn't sound like they just chopped up his dialogue and made new sentences...
See! this is what I miss. You just can't train people to pick up on these jokes and follow up.
Oh, how I've tried to train people. Clockwork Orange style viewings of Sorkin and hiring North Vietnamese overseers to ensure housemates play the required amounts of D2 and what not...
just.. can't.. be taught.
They have to grow up with it.
And not be lame fuckwits.
