Koala Claus Demands You [chat]

Koala Claus lives in my office. Koala Claus is full of hate. Koala Claus demands you [chat]

That's...so demented.

the 1st draft of my thesis goes to my committee tomarrow.

eep

almost done!

I do not enjoy sliced ham on sandwiches. I prefer my ham to be in chunks cut from a larger piece of ham.

Black Forest Ham, though.

Sounds delicious.

Unknown said...

black forest ham is fantastic. I'm trying to remember which sandwich place it was that I had it at around here.

_J_ said...

Remember, man!

_J_ said...

Question. Do Kyle or Ros remember the specs and price for that computer that was built for Ros?

I have a desire to build a new desktop. These 15 hour straight WoW sessions are not helping my laptop.

I can probably use the video/sound card that I have. I'd just need a new processor/motherboard/ram. Maybe a hard drive. Maybe.

A Pennsylvania man picked up for sexual assault tried to convince his teen victim and police that he was a supernatural werewolf/vampire combination, police told the Allentown Morning Call.

So he's a guy who turns into a vampiric werewolf? Or a vampire who turns into a wolf on a full moon?

I don't buy it.

But then again, I'm not a 15 year old girl from Pennsylvania.

OMG, that awful "documentary" from our little berg up north, is apparently about to go main stream... /sigh...

Unknown said...

i think i spent around $600.... don't remember exactly

Unknown said...

we can totally throw a desktop building party here :)

_J_ said...

"Burstein's documentary "American Teen" eagerly places its four main subjects -- students at the only high school in Warsaw, Indiana -- into the archetypes Hughes helped cement in '80s movies like "The Breakfast Club." "

God fucking damn it.

_J_ said...

$600 is not bad and a desktop building party does sound like fun.

Hmm.

2.4 Patch Notes

-Diminishing returns on honor for kills is being eliminated.
-Honor will now be instantly calculated, and available for player use.

_J_ said...

And then I get to the 2.4 notes about raiding.

And they nerfed raiding.

"All 25- player raid bosses that drop set tokens will now drop an additional token!"

"You may now fight Prince Kael’thas and Lady Vashj without first killing all the other bosses in their respective dungeons."

Woo...easier farming...

woo.

_J_ said...

"Ritual of Summoning can be used to summon players into instances if they meet the instance requirements."

So much more useful am I.

_J_ said...

AV:

"Vanndar Stormpike and Captain Balinda Stonehearth have had their health totals reduced."

"Horde players will now start the battle closer to Drek’Thar and Frostwolf Keep."

hmmm...

WSG:
"When both flags are held, the flag carriers will receive 50% increased damage done to them after approximately 10 minutes and 100% increased damage after approximately 15 minutes. "

Change that to 3 minutes and 4 minutes and we have a deal.

_J_ said...

"The friends list now has a notes field per friend. Click on the note icon to add a note for a particular friend."

MOTHER FUCKING FINALLY!

Unknown said...

wow I like the 2.4 notes... The AV change sounds like bullshit... having the cave closer isn't what we need, we need to have a choke point at FW gy the way the alliance have a choke at SP gy, literally on top of the gy, that is where they have the huge advantage.

Unknown said...

did you see there will now be a way to get to the caverns of time from shatt... that makes me happy

Unknown said...

oooh halaa daily, as long as it doesn't over ride the other pvp daily, i'm excited :)

_J_ said...

The ability to do BM without having to portal to TB and fly down to Gadgetzan then ride south and fly into the cave will be delightful.

I'm not sure what I think of Halaa daily pvp quests. If it is in addition to the others then fine, such as if on wednesday there is an AV and Halaa. Because then I can just ignore it and do the other daily quests.

It will certainly draw more attention to those areas. I don't know if that is good or bad, though.

They didn't mention anything about increasing the number of daily quests one could do, though. It sounds like they may need to do that. If I do Ogrila, skyguard, pvp, and instance dailys that is 8 quests out of a possible 10.

I'm most excited about:
-can summon people into instances
-adding notes to friends lists

Having slept on the news about more drops in 25 person instances I'm more ok with it. Right now in Gruul's Lair 4 armor tokens drop total. So each run only 4 people can get that gear. Then when you figure the limitation of one Gruul run per week that takes a while for 25 people to all get gear.

Personally, though, I'd prefer that they keep the drops to 2 per boss and just allow people to run the damn instance more than once a week.

My unbuffed Shadow Damage bonus is now 1001.

Objective achieved!

Now to work on 1050 unbuffed and level my cooking.

_J_ said...

Linking this so I can read it when I get home.

For anyone else who plays WoW or has a passing interest I suggest elitistjerks.com. Awesome name. Awesome content.

Roscoe said...

I remember NOTZING!

But I can look the stuff up, if you need it.

But I will require Black Forest Ham Sammiches.

Roscoe said...

A KRIZMANACH!

To me, My Armies! TO ME!

MA17 said...

And a Tusing!

How many of these people ARE THERE

MA17 said...

Also, who the hell does this director think she is calling the movie "American Teen". I mean, how I'm I supposed to google that and maintain my spiritual purity?!

MA17 said...

I'm is the new am

Iams is still delicious.

_J_ said...

When people name things they ought to think in terms of google search results.

A porn star named zwetnala respuaelis? Good name.

A porn star named pam? Not a good name.

Things ought to be named in unique (in the non-Diablo II sense) ways to facilitate more exact google searching.

_J_ said...

Rifftrax did Jurassic Park.

Who Riffs? Mike Nelson and Weird Al.

...

I is scared.

Roscoe said...

This Riff Must Be Riff'd.

The Tusing thing I can get... though .. I can't tell if he's Judd Nelson or Anthony Micheal Hall...

Because a Tusing is Neither of These Things.

Be it Magical Matt or Nice Neil, hell.. Even Pat Tusing was no outsider.

I kinda want to see this movie.. so I can vent vociferously.

Unknown said...

I added it to netflix and as soon as it is released on dvd, I will push it to the top. Somehow though, I assume that North Point will actually carry this movie, so that may be a better option.

_J_ said...

We have to see this at North Point.

Have to.

MA17 said...

There's a preview of the JP riff on YouTube, and I can't get over how good Weird Al is in it. I mean, sure he's funny, of course, but I don't really think of him as being anything more than a guy who spoofs things to appeal to a fairly young audience. But his energy and the fact that I'm prejudiced towards thinking of him as making happy-time jokes for kids really works well, and I think his character is something missing from the rest of the MST3K crew. Frank maybe had some of it, with his child-like innocence, but he only sat in the theater once, and he's nowhere to be found on RiffTrax.

I hope they get to do more movies with Weird Al.

_J_ said...

It's my favorite scene from any movie, ever and they mocked it gloriously.

I think I may go buy the movie tonight and watch it.

Seriously, though. Favorite scene from a movie, ever. I know it's in front of a green screen and the special effects are crap compared to today.

But, man, they do amazed so well in that scene.

"Your thesis was so wrong, honey."

_J_ said...

Is that a dinosaur?
no.
Is that a dinosaur?
no.
Is THAT a dinosaur?
NO!

MA17 said...

"Now to swoop in with that timeshare sales pitch!" made me laugh out loud. Weird Al's zany voice fits with Attenborough's big ass grin and similarly whimsical nature as Hammond so well. It's so perfect and hilarious.

Roscoe said...

Apropros of nothing but the date.... Lita Ford makes me hurt in places I didn't know COULD hurt.

and Joan Jett does twice over.

Goddamned older women, man.

_J_ said...

So that's the problem. You like older women and you're surrounded by 19 year olds.

_J_ said...

Vanderbilt turned me down.

/cry

Roscoe said...

Absolutely the problem...

Which explains my bastardly streak.

In related news, I have successfully Rick Roll'd the House.

_J_ said...

A hard drive died so I had to reinstall Windows. Just finished installing SP2 and checked for new Windows updates.

90 Windows Updates since Service Pack 2.

Roscoe said...

For those interested, in the final issue of Cable and Deadpool?

Deadpool teleports a bunch of dinosaurs from the Savage Land into Manhattan... and they end up bonding with a pile of Venom Symbiotes.

So Deadpool fights 'em.

Finale. Huzzah!

_J_ said...

10 minutes till I get to go buy Jurassic Park, the Jurassic Part Rifftrax, and a litre of Vodka!

_J_ said...

Guess who has Jurassic park and a liter of Finlandia, the Finnish vodka.

ME

Only place I found a copy was blockbuster.
