I'm already on it.
He was so awesome.
Tim Russert on stupid people from Indiana:
I remember being in Indianapolis covering the Indiana primary and a man came up to me and said he wasn’t going to vote for Senator Obama because he was very concerned about the comments made by Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s pastor. I said, “That’s interesting. As a reporter, I’m curious what comments particularly bothered you?” He said, “Well, I can’t think of any that come to mind, but I also read on the Internet that he’s a Muslim.” And I said, “Now wait a minute. You can’t have both. You can’t be offended by his Christian minister and then say he’s a Muslim. You’ve got to pick one.”
I can promise you, Indiana doesn't have a exclusivity on stupid people. You will find them where ever you go. Also, important to note, Obama carried Indianapolis by a roughly 30 point margin, so this guy was in the tiny minority in Indianapolis.
One man does not define an entire geographical category of people.
Yeah.
Still...
I don't disagree that this guy should be ridiculed for his idiocy and contradictory views, but the entire city of Indianapolis, let alone the state of Indiana, should not be judged accordingly because of one resident jackass. It is obvious there are stupid people in Indiana, but that makes Indiana no different than anywhere else.
So how do we keep the stupid, uneducated and uninformed from going out to exercise their 'right' to vote, for the candidate that has best been able to lie to them and confuse them into voting for what they believe to be the truth, but more times than not is false?!?!?!
