More news from the "We are all fucked" front

Activision and Blizzard have said they will form "the world's most profitable games business" in a deal worth $18.8bn (£9.15bn).

US-based Activision also makes hit console games such as the Tony Hawk series and Guitar Hero.

Nine million people pay a monthly subscription to play World of Warcraft.

oh man - you could use the gold you pick up in early drops the buy "Goreshovel" the hottest skateboard ever made. Use jump on and you will be able to hit all those oranges when you battle Slash on Hell in act five...extreme

Vivendi also owns Sierra, and we STILL haven't gotten a World of King's Quest or a Half-Life RTS.

And so despite this current merger, I really doubt we're going to even get a Leisure Suit Larry: Battlechess '08 expansion for the Sims.

I've been working on "Leisure Suit Larry: Battlechess '08 expansion for the Sims" for years. Talk about development hell. I just need another 50,000$ in capital and 6 months and we will be ready for an open beta - i sware

Are Activision and Blizzard still going to be their own groups and the management structure changes? Or is it something else?

It sounds like Blizzards will still be Blizzard, but the management / ownership changed.
