"Guilt Free Sunday Mornings".

So, WCC or (Warsaw Community Church) is a local non-denominational Christian church. While driving home today I saw a new Billboard advertising WCC which said:

"Guilt Free Sunday Mornings!"

Now, if that's the hook for your church, the means by which you get people in the door, then I really have to question everything about your church. Because unless you skip all of the Old Testament and most of the New Testament there is no way to craft a message without in some way making your audience feel guilty for their fallen, sinful nature. I mean, fuck, the entire damn point of the book is that human beings are flawed and there is a greater being (God) who had a bastard son (Jesus) who came to earth to die for your sins.

How do you deliver that message in a guilt-free way? And why would you want your audience to not feel guilty? They're a bunch of sinners! You want to make them feel bad! If everything is keen and awesome and they're great and everything is fine there's no reason for them to be sitting in your building in the first place! I mean, the only reason they could possibly have to go in every week would be to hear that they are doing a good job, they don't need to change, and that they're going to go to heaven when they...

Oh, I see now.
